Sanjay Leela Bhansali's return to direction with Ram Leela, has turned out to be a big box-office hit, thanks to the stunning chemistry between the lead actors, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. The film's technical values have also been appreciated and despite the slow pace, the audiences at both multiplexes and single screens have taken well to the film.
At the end of the first weekend, the film has netted a huge 52.5 - 52.75 crores in India, with each passing day earning more than the previous day. In overseas markets, the film has done even better than star-studded films such as Krrish 3 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
The film is already on its way to being declared a hit and entry to the 100 crores net club seems a surety given the response to the film. This marks Deepika Padukone's fourth successive hit this year, after Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and now Ram Leela.
